Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.

I agree with Christopher Wolfe, that schools have a responsibility to protect victims of cyber bullying.

The problem with the internet is that there is often no escape. However, there are defiantly ways of overcome cyberbullying. Cyberbullying has taken the boundaries of bullying far beyond the playground. Hence, there has been a huge increase in cyberbullying fueled by the power of web 2.0 technologies such as Facebook and Myspace. I am actually doing some research exploring behavioural aspects and more importantly cyberbullying on Social Networking Sites (SNS) and would appreciate it if I could get some participation n in my online survey especially if you have or think you have been cyberbullied:

Cyber-bullying was started as fun way of teasing others but later it became just like raging in colleges. Parent should inform their kids not to get dishearten by such emails, messages etc. as they pose no real threat.

The right to freedom of speech we have been given by the Constitution is supposed to be based on the right to talk freely about government and petition it without fear of being silenced or punished. The freedom was not meant to include the public insults and harassment that are done with the purpose of destroying someone's life. Unfortunately, right now, Cyberbullying is being protected under that guise, when it really needs to be classified as slander and libel.

That being said, let's look at the issue here: accountability and awareness. Why should the schools be forced to do the job of the parents? Why are the schools finding out who the bullies are, instead of the parents? Why are the parents unaware of their own problem... and then peeved at the schools for being the only ones who care enough to do something. Schools shouldn't be put in this position – but they are, and at least THEY are doing something about it.

Parents need to get involved in helping solve the cyberbullying problem. If parents cared enough about their child being the bully or passing along the material as much as they care when their child is a victim, it would be a huge step forward. But then, of course, how do you know if your child is involved in cyberbullying? You need to monitor their Internet activity. Monitoring software like our PC Pandora records everything that happens on the PC. If your child is a victim, you will know; if they are a bully, you will know. Whatever the case may be with your child (victim or bully), you need to intervene. Check us out at http://pcpandora.com to see how you can be a part of the solution instead of a passive part of the problem.
