SherWeb has just announced through a press release that it has acquired DNAmail, a division of DSL Extreme, a privately held retail brand of IKANO Communications, Inc. Over the years, SherWeb has worked very hard to become a worldwide leader in the cloud business. This first acquisition brings us one step closer in accomplishing this goal.

When will the acquisition be effective? Is it effective as of today, Monday, April 11, 2011.
Will SherWeb change its name? No, we are and will remain SherWeb. However, to ensure a seamless transition for DNAmail customers, we will use both names for them for the time being until the migration process is over.
Will current SherWeb customers be affected by this acquisition? Our great products and prices will remain the same. As for customer care, we have set up a transition team to welcome DNAmail customers. Therefore, it should be business as usual for SherWeb customers as well as for resellers.
How will DNAmail customers be affected by this acquisition? DNAmail customers will gain from SherWeb’s exhaustive experience, also from the security and stability of its infrastructure, from its larger research and development team and, most of all, from its great range of hosted solutions and competitive prices. As for DNAmail’s resellers, they will be presented with SherWeb’s amazing reseller program.
SherWeb wishes to give DNAmail’s customers a warm welcome!

Doesn’t look like this merger is going very well. Hosted exchange is down, 20 minute hold times for technical support, and chat support is very slow. It took over 30 minutes for chat to say ” I am getting one of the mail server is down… we are loaded with chat and calls… so for sure something is going on…”.
