My GOD.....sad to say but I am not surprised by the intellectual derelict nature of half the people who have posted here, illiterate, dumb-ass Americans...you all deserve to burn as far as I'm concerned. Scoop up the few of you that can string a sentence together and make a sensible argument,. One in three Americans are obese, common knowledge-but how many in three are intellectually defunct! 2? maybe? you smarter ones have said it yourselves- America is in deep trouble, and who is to blame for that? yourselves! you are of britsh decent just like me-but what happened to you lot? New Zealand (home) and Australia are also colonial, and they are ok, so what went wrong with you lot? you are a disgrace-kind of like Rome in its decedent decline before it was sacked! maybe its time to pull the plug on America

Meanwhile, back in China: refined, American, 1970's designs for Thorium fueled LFTR reactors promise the communist Chinese a "Free Energy Ride". Google LFTR reactors. Thorium, China, just for Hellery. They have a CANDU reactor running on Thorium as we speak! On the American economy: The little yellow goyim in China have us figured out! The jig is up! Duck and cover!
Factoid: Had the U.S., in place of the Iraq fiasco, decided to spend the same $650 + Billions of U.S. dollars on conventional Solar/thermal development in the South Western U.S.A., today, all Americans would have jobs, and America would be able to compete product for product with Asians using this abundant supply of cheap clean and renewable or perpetual energy.
There is so room for improvement in America! military build-up is not the only path to glory, freedom, Democracy, and pride! We Americans seem to have forgotten ! The picture went lop-sided after the extreme pressures of the "Cold War"?

I second the poorly written comment. On another note, I can see practical and non military applications for all of the proposed technologies presented with the exception of the bombs and electronic warfare (which are not really new concepts anyway, just scaled up old ideas). Military technology is often the originator and proponent of valuable non-military technology.
