I have kept up to date on the artifical womb since the beginning. At the age of 18, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and at the age of 21, after fighting it through extensive chemotherapy and radiation, I had a hysterectomy.Unfortunately, unlike thousands of other people, I was blessed and had a child right after I was 17. Now at 27, we would do anything to have another child. So yes, it may be crazy and seem a bit ridiculous, but for those of us that cannot conceive or even physically house babies inside for whatever reason, this is a magnificent discovery and has given us possible hope again. So, for those of you that have negative opinions and want to bash others, put yourselves in our shoes, see how it feels to go every second of everyday knowing that you cannot bare children, then let's see what you have to say!!!

Collin248, I think the technology is more aimed at woman who are unable to bear a child themselves, not just because some can't be arsed

@colin Do you think that some woman might not have the option to physically bear a child? But they still might one of their own, that is their dna. It's not just like a rich woman is like,"No thanks, I don't want to carry one." She might be physically too weak to carry a child, and if she did carry the child she or it might die.
