IE Tab doesn’t ‘emulate’ an IE7 session, it’s an actual of instance of Internet Explorer running in a Firefox tab. If you don’t have IE on your machine (ie. Mac or Linux user), it won’t work.

Why would you need session saver? If you go to the options screen, on the main tab you can set ‘When Firefox starts’ to ‘Show my windows and tabs from last time’. Even if Firefox crashes it will restore everything.
